Dialysis is loud. There are alarms, staff yelling across the room to each other, lids slamming, the door buzzing to open and close, people on the phone, the staff talking to patients….it’s just loud. I’m not one to get distracted easy, but I have a hard time thinking when the noise is constant.
I tried bringing a cheap pair of headphones to plug into the TV, but I could still hear the noises in the room and the TV, which really made it worse.
I decided to buy a noise cancelling headset. And it’s been a great investment!! Now, I can listen to music and focus on work without the other noises from the room. Even if I don’t listen to music, it’s just good to have them on to block everything out.
I purchased TOZO HT2 Hybrid Active Noise Cancelling Headphones, Wireless Over Ear Bluetooth headphones, 60H Playtime, Hi-Res Audio Custom EQ via App Deep Bass Comfort Fit Ear Cups. They are excellent and I highly recommend them. They come in 8 different colors and of course I picked pink to match my blanket and pillow case. Amazon usually has them on sale and/or has a coupon attached to them. https://a.co/d/3CZTspK
If you don’t get these, get something to drown out the noise. It will make treatment less stressful.
